I write poetry. My work has appeared in print and online in Isotope, New Delta Review, Wisconsin Academy Review, Blue Fifth Review, Kudzu ReviewStickman Review and Mud Season Review, among others. A complete list of publication credits is linked to this page.

I have been a featured reader in the Urban Voices and Red Letter Reading series at Milwaukee’s Woodland Pattern Book Center; and read with other writers from the Vest Conservatory for Writers, where I studied for many years. I’ve also told stories at storytelling slams produced by Milwaukee’s Ex Fabula.

I worked as a waitress, offset and flexographic press operator, and water purification plant operator. In July of 2016 I retired, after 25+ years as a food safety inspector for the City of Milwaukee Health Department.

For many years, I also served as an officer and newsletter editor for my local of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). I also served as a volunteer member organizer for AFSCME.

Since I retired, I’ve been energized and inspired by young poets in Milwaukee who are publishing their own work. On November 28, 2017, I’ll be 62. I’ve decided to self-publish my book In the Field – Autobiography of an Inspector. This book’s been nearly 20 years in the making. It’ll be available early in 2018. Stay tuned for information about how you can order your copy.

I am available for poetry readings. I’m also available to write features and non-fiction articles.

I live and work in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Contact me here:
