I live and work in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I write poetry and nonfiction.  A complete list of publication credits – print and online – is linked to this page.

I worked as a waitress, offset and flexographic press operator; and water purification plant operator. In July of 2016 I retired, after 25+ years as a food safety inspector for the City of Milwaukee Health Department. For many years, I also served as an officer and newsletter editor for my local of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). I also served as a volunteer member organizer for AFSCME.

I blog (and occasionally tell stories) for Ex Fabula (“Connecting Milwaukee Through Real Stories”). For nearly seven years I served as a volunteer interviewer/writer for the “My Life My Story” program at the Veteran’s Administration. Policies put into place under the Trump administration have made volunteering within the VA something I can’t stomach. I deeply respect VA employees who stay to make a living.

I’m a member of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets. I have an author page at Goodreads.com for my books. Please visit, review and recommend!
