I write poetry. I published my first book – “In the Field, Autobiography of an Inspector” in January 2018. It is available for order from this website. My work has appeared in print and online in Isotope, New Delta Review, Wisconsin Academy Review, Blue Fifth Review, Kudzu ReviewStickman Review and Mud Season Reviewamong others. I worked as a waitress, offset and flexographic press operator; and water purification plant operator. In July of 2016 I retired, after 25+ years as a food safety inspector for the City of Milwaukee Health Department. For many years, I also served as an officer and newsletter editor for my local of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). I also served as a volunteer member organizer for AFSCME.

I blog (and occasionally tell stories) for Ex Fabula (“Connecting Milwaukee Through Real Stories”) and serve as an interviewer/writer for the “My Life My Story” program at the Zablocki VA Medical Center.

I live and work in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Contact me here:

I’m a member of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets. I’ve created an author page at Goodreads.com for my book. Please visit, review and recommend!
